Monitoring WordPress sites

Nodis checks WordPress sites from the outside, the same way it checks any other site: no plugin to install, nothing to configure. Add the site, tag its platform as WordPress, and every check runs.

The WordPress version check

Once a day, Nodis reads the site's generator tag or feed to find its WordPress version, and compares it with the latest release from WordPress.org. If the site is behind, that shows up in the report. Many security plugins hide the version on purpose, in which case this check is simply skipped.

What this doesn't cover

Nodis doesn't install WordPress updates, run backups or scan for security issues. That work still belongs with your existing tools; log the time you spend on it as care work so it shows in the client's report.
